Pen Argyl Borough core (Lobb / Robinson / Main)
The densest part of the borough — Welsh-immigrant rowhomes built directly for slate-quarry workers. Small footprints, original slate roofs, brick exteriors, often shared party walls. Walkable to the historic Pen Argyl Library and the Welsh-Methodist church corridor. The original Diamond Slate Quarry was just west of these blocks.
What we see most often
Multi-generation Welsh-American estate sales. Houses commonly held in single families 80-120 years (since original construction). Out-of-state heirs typical — Welsh slate families' descendants are now scattered across NJ, NY, OH, FL. Original mechanicals universal.
