Broad Street Historic District
The walkable historic core along West Broad Street, the borough's main thoroughfare. Dense pre-1920 twins, rowhomes, and Victorian-era singles built during Quakertown's post-Civil-War prosperity boom. Landmarks include the Karlton Building (former theater, now mixed-use), the Free Press Building, and Sine's 5 & 10 (open since 1912). Tighter lots, older mechanicals, original detailing.

Estate sales of long-tenured borough families aging out — heirs frequently out of state. Older stock commonly carries slate roofs, knob-and-tube wiring, and original cast-iron drains that non-inspector cash buyers misprice. Some tired-landlord exits from older multi-unit conversions.
